The Sex Pistols launch their own perfume

The Sex Pistols have launched their own perfume in their never ending quest for money. The unisex scent sees the band collaborating with Paris perfume company Etat Libre d’Orange, who have licensed the group’s name via their promoter Live Nation Merchandise.
The Sex Pistols scent comes in packaging based on their “God Save The Queen” single artwork and is currently available in France. It will be launched in selected shops in the US on September 10. Don’t expect too much from it, the French company has a list of public figures linked to their scents and so far none was really awarded for being the best perfume ever. On the contrary, you’d get Patrick Süskind’s Jean-Baptiste Grenouille very disappointed.
According to Live Nation Merchandise the punks were “closely involved” with the launch. Oh, and if you thought this was selling out, what about his: there are also plans to launch a ‘Never Mind The Bollocks’ soap later this year.
